A coach’s idea. A bat maker’s craft.

Born from the work.

Split Grip founders Cory Voss and Trevor Goldberg at a baseball industry event

01 / Where it started

Two catchers. One long drive. Years of shared baseball.

Cory Voss and Trevor Goldberg met as the only two catchers—and the only two players from southern Colorado—on the Rockies Scout Team in 2012. Hours in the car to Denver became the beginning of a relationship built around the game.

The joke that became a training system.

After their playing careers, Cory built a life in player development and Trevor kept building bats. A joke about a new training handle became a serious exploration of what happens when the hands are constrained differently during the swing. The patented Split Grip system grew from that work.
